...Legacy Ministers Conference

A MEETING YOU CAN NOT AFFORD TO MISS!

Read What Christian Leaders Said About Mike Oye...

Thank God for preserving the life of our highly respected elder brother, Mike Oye. The Lord has used him to influence many of us for Christ. By the time I became a Christian, one of the names that stood out, beckoning the rest of us to come closer to Christ was the name, Mike Oye. We saw in him someone who has travelled the road we were beginning to travel. We pray that the Lord will raise up many more people like Mike Oye to encourage those coming behind.
-- Pastor E.A. Adeboye (Daddy G.O., RCCG)

Uncle Mike Oye is an epitome for consistency. He is quite a challenge to young people to advance in their professional calling and to be excellent at it. He showed by example that because God has called you does not mean you have to pull out to start another church of your own. He encouraged some of us who wanted to see revival return to the denominational churches that it is possible to remain in the denominational churches and still see the move of God. He also has sustained interest in young people. I find him as a role model. He’s added a lot of value to the work in Peace House. Mike Oye played a significant role in the substructure of the revival in this country
– Gbile Akani (Peace House, Gboko)

Mike Oye, undoubtedly, is a pioneer; he was a major instrument in the hands of God to engineer the great revival and the move of God that is taking place in Nigeria today. He endured all of those days when Christianity had no form or comeliness; when to be born-again was to be derided, ridiculed and persecuted. He labored throughout our secondary schools and the institutions of higher learning all across Nigeria; and God blessed his labour, with the fruits of his labour doing exploits for God all over the nation today and beyond. And now, He has become an elder statesman whom we all look up to; a respected father who has put in decades of service in the Kingdom of God without blemish with impeccable integrity – and he is still going strong. He is an inspiration to all of us.
– Bishop Dr. Francis Wale Oke (President, Sword of the Spirit Ministries & PFN National Vice President)

Revd. Mike Oye is a minister of God; God’s general, Christ’s ambassador; an Iroko in the Christian circles, especially in the Methodist Church Nigeria. He is a converter of souls who has given so much trouble to the kingdom of darkness in the way he snatches both the high and mighty as well as the common and lowly ones out of the jaws of satan and bringing them to God. As a travelling secretary of the Scripture Union, he came to our school in Okigwe. When he made the altar call, even though I was a member of the choir then, the way he preached so much touched my heart that I answered the call and gave myself completely to Jesus; and since then, I have not turned back.
– His Eminence, Dr. Samuel C. Kanu Uche (Prelate of the Methodist Church, Nigeria)

Mike Oye was a pioneer international chairman of Calvary Ministries, CAPRO, a seat he occupied for 8 years. When he came on board, he brought not only a strong passion for evangelism which is key to any missionary enterprise, but the concept of holistic development, whereby we ensured that all the communities we reached were not just given the gospel and preparing them for heaven, we sought for sustainable ways to improve their living conditions. From the entire CAPRO family, the international council, the international executive currently serving, the over 700 CAPRO missionaries in about 37 countries across 5 continents and from the thousands of CAPRO partners all over the world who have been impacted positively by your leadership, we wish him a happy birthday and pray that he will continue to flourish like a palm tree and remain evergreen, proclaiming the Lord is good!
-- Elder Sam Kputu (International Director, CAPRO)

I see Brother Mike as a deeply spiritual man; humble to a fault, always ready to learn, morally sound and upright, a man who had no love for money. He is to Nigeria what Billy Graham was to America.
--Rtd. Bishop Cyril Okorocha (Anglican Communion, Owerri)

Anybody that has been around in this country from the 60’s cannot but know the name Mike Oye. When the charismatic/Pentecostal movement was still trying to find its footing between the late 60’s through the 70’s, he was one of those whom God used to bring stability and to provide a proper foundation. I see him as a bridge builder between the orthodox churches and the mainstream Pentecostal movement.
